HEALTH FOR CHILDREN
The health of toddlers and children is an extremely complex area of health education and medical science and one in which new discoveries are being made daily. Childhood is a time when the habits of a lifetime are learned (or not learned) and when the foundation for the rest of our life's health is established. A child must learn what is good and safe to eat, to dring and to do. Exercise helps us to develop good posture and enables us to move easily. But some types of exercise are more dangerous than others and we must learn what suits us best. During childhood, we develop our sleep patterns. Because almost all living things must sleep at least part of the time, a child must learn the amount of sleep that best suits his or her makeup. Personal hygiene is another important part of life that must be learned during childhood. This page presents a few short articles that will help the reader learn more abou this very important aspect of life - the health of a child. |
